Amazing news: Panama is set to auction off two new cellular phone licenses at a minimum price tag of a whopping $36 million each! The government’s goal is to increase competition and lower prices.
More than five companies have already expressed interest, including America Movil, which is from Mexico and owned by the richest man of the world, billionaire Carlos Slim.
Hotels.com confirms a rate of $140 a night at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort in Panama for Donna Katos, but when she checks in, the resort doesn’t have a reservation for her and insists she pay nearly double her rate. She pays, hoping to get things sorted out when she returns to the States, but things aren’t getting sorted out. Is she out of luck?

Amazing! Panama’s National Theater is like a jewel on the eye. From the outside, the building is sort of ambiguous in that it appears to house government offices just like those all around it in Casco Antiguo. But the inside is wonderful and warm, the roof deck one of the better secrets in the capital city. Check it out…

What? Does Fiestas.com operate a small storefront in Panama? Actually, no. This store does not own the Fiestas.com domain name, they just use it as the name of their business. This is further evidence that “dot com” has become its own brand. Interesting… I have seen this not just in Panama but throughout Latin America.
